The Blue areas of the fabric are dyed with indigo using a traditional hank dyeing method similar to hand dyeing. With hank dyeing, indigo penetrates the core of the yarns for a unique rich color that lasts with wash and wear. This is different from rope dyeing which is generally used to dye only the outer layer of yarns and can eventually fade to white.
