Based on an original 1940's US Marine Corps private purchase PX hat, the TSPTR ballcap is fully hand-made in Japan by John Lofgren and Co using traditional methods and Union Special sewing machines. Made from heavyweight 100% cotton woven in Japan.
Fitted 40s baseball style cap with taped seams, kelly green underpeak and hidden elastic on rear of cap just like the originals means one size fits all.
Exact reproduction of the reversible 1940s US Marine Corps 'Frogskin' camouflage as used in the Pacific during WWII by Marine Raiders. The M1942 Frog Skin pattern was the United States military's first attempt at disruptive coloration camouflage. In 1942, the USMC Marine Raiders were the first issued the Frog Skin uniform, which was reversible with a five-colour jungle pattern on a green background on one side and a three-colour beach pattern with a tan background on the other side.
