• The "Alaskan pattern" is rare in the vintage market, and this is a reproduction of a late 1950s jacket featuring a mountain goat, which is particularly rare among the so-called "Alaska jackets."
• A gorgeous combination of motifs, including a dog sled on the sleeve and a lightning bolt and polar bear on the chest. Alaska, with its vast natural environment, is known as "America's last frontier," and this message is embroidered on the bottom
• The reversible side features motifs unique to Alaska, such as the state flag, Mt. McKinley, and totem poles.
• This item was produced by Minato Sho (the predecessor of Tailor Toyo) at the request of the U.S. military in the 1950s, and was sold in the PX at the Alaska base.
• By inserting batting, the cold protection was improved, and the acetate on the reversible side was quilted to hold down the batting
